Location
Located in San Salvador, Barú, Pérez Zeledón, home to the famous Diamante and Nauyuca waterfalls. It is a 47 minute drive to San Isidro, an agricultural town with shopping centers to the north east and a 42 minute drive to the pacific coast.
Unique Characteristics
This peaceful, 100-acre organic farm in Diamante Valley with its iconic waterfalls, is off-grid and totally self-sufficient. It is equipped with the resources needed to thrive for years to come. The land boasts of agricultural opportunity with 1200 fruit trees (1,000 of them producing cocoa), cultivated land, two greenhouses, and an independent, quality water infrastructure offering fresh spring water. The land is set up for short and long-term stays with two rustic cabins including a wood-burning sauna, two rental houses, and a main farmhouse. Three of the structures have independent solar systems. The main farmhouse is powered by a high-capacity combo of hydro and solar. Near the farmhouse is a processing space that has been used for making chocolate.
The beautiful remote property with its easy access to year-round wildlife, waterfalls, swimming holes, creeks, and river frontage is the perfect setting for retreats of all kinds. This farm is IDEAL with its healing water therapy, pure food, and lay of the land. You can’t find anything else like it! Its natural ecosystem has been methodically preserved through organic processes and is protected by the forest outside and within its perimeters. The property consists mostly of a gentle slope that allows for walking and building and has two access roads entering from the bottom and the top. Although it is remote, it is located near the ocean and many surrounding farmers markets.
